Women and food have always shared a series of very particular relationships. Whether women are designated to sell food, prepare it, serve it, represent it, advertise it, condemn it or be condemned by it, there is no denying the proximity of the roles of femme and food in our culture both historically and contemporarily.

This show navigates the many ways in which female-identifying artists approach food in their work- whether conceptually or formally; as medium or subject. Together, we examine how artists, designers, writers, and "content creators" either perpetuate or critique the proximity of women and food in our consumable culture.
